Fu Gui Noodles

This stall makes a damn good bowl of Bak Chor Mee which deserves special mention.

The noodles are springy, QQ and has a nice bite. It’s nicely flavoured, tasty but not over salted, and comes with a generous amount of fresh ingredients including ikan bilis. It’s not vinegary like Tai Hwa (I like that too) but has an old school familiar taste which is comforting. For something so satisfactory, it’s only $3 a bowl, and you don’t have to wait long for it!

Worthy of a mention, is the young chap who mans the stall whom I find courteous and hardworking. He does such a fine job, that while I am torn between keeping the stall off the radar, and sharing the joy, I think a good review befits him. So, if you are reading this, you’re in luck.
