Bonjour Paris

Boulevard near Eiffel Tower

A long overdue update! My visit to Paris occurred last July (to be exact 15-19 Jul 2017) and that’s almost 7 months ago. Anyhow, this is a good way to relive the moments.

My first visit and I love Paris despite the hot summer. It’s charming, chic and the stunning views, what’s not to like?

Parisian Food, how can one resist?

Of course, I’ve got to try their Michelin star restaurants. Booking was made 2 months in advance at Restaurant Le Meurice Alain Ducasse. Lunch set was priced at Euro 130, acceptable pricing for a 3-star Michelin restaurant in Paris. It’s cheaper than dining in Singapore, I thought. Le Meurice has a jacket rule for gentlemen and no sneakers though I spotted a woman with them.

Frankly, I preferred Le Clarence, a 2-star Michelin restaurant. Le Meurice was pure opulence while Le Clarence was cosier with more impressive food servings. No jacket for the men required.

For French comfort food, I would recommend L’ami Jean. I hear it’s legendary and difficult to get seats, and it’s very affordable.

Paris has very charming and striking architectures, fantastic museums and fascinating history. I miss Paris!
